Profile Information

In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested in joining us?
I think transitioning to sustainability as a community is the most likely chance for success. We are out of time for individual by individual transformation, and nationwide or statewide change is too logistically impossible. Community-sized change can be led by "small groups of dedicated people" -- or "firesouls" or "grassroots movements" -- which are the proven agents of change where social order is concerned.
How are you currently involved in the Transition movement? If not involved currently, just state that.
I have been an activist for sustainability for 15 years; for the past four I've been deeply involved in teaching about The Natural Step framework for sustainability. I have been hearing more about the Transition movement, purchased the book (though only scanned it), and am eager to compare the two approaches to fostering sustainable behavior.
What skills/talents/resources/interests do you bring to the Transition movement?
Organizational, communication skills, networks, etc.

Some knowledge of permaculture, food preservation, gasification, systems thinking, vermiculture, minimal use of resource in personal life
What would you be interested in doing?
Too many to list now
