I'm not familiar with Twitter (yet). I assume it is a form of chat? There is a built-in chat feature on this site that I have not used yet.

For over a year my family and I were trying to move to Viroqua (couldn't find work there so now we're staying in SE Wisc) so we had the pleasure of meeting some great people there. It seems like such a great place for a Transition Town to sprout.

Is anyone working on local currency there? I'm part of a group working on that in Milwaukee; it is really exciting to be a part of it b/c it's so needed at this time. We hope to get a mutual credit system running very soon, possibly hard currency later.

Best of luck in all your endeavors!

Welcome, Lynn. Your activities sound like a wonderful match to the Transition movement. Were you already familiar with it? Please feel free to poke around, perhaps starting at the Get Started tab, to learn more about it. And also invite friends & neighbors to join. The more people who 'gather' here, the more people will interact & inspire each other to do the important work that needs doing.
