In what ways do you identify with the Transition movement? Why are you interested in joining us?
Since 2000, I've been urging that people start to prepare for the peak oil event. It seems that the Transition towns movement also is interested in preparing people for the peak oil event.
I'm involved in the "local food" movement somewhat in central Wisc. I'd say that most of us in the local food movement, whether growers or consumers, are ill-prepared for peak oil.
How are you currently involved in the Transition movement? If not involved currently, just state that.
I'm not, because there's not a local group in central Wisconsin, to my knowledge.
What skills/talents/resources/interests do you bring to the Transition movement?
Some gardening skill. Organizational skill--have helped form co-operatives in the past, worked as a union organizer and community organizer. Social organization skills are as important as hardware skills I think.
What would you be interested in doing?
