WANTED SCRAP LUMBER, ARTISTS AND PAINTERS.
Hello all - Many of you know that I have been working hard to procure signs for the Victory Garden Initiative. Well, this is much more difficult than I had ever imagined because the signs are actually quite expensive when they are made with any quite of renewable and sustainable materials...so because we are Victory Gardeners and because we are inventive and resilient, we are going to make the signs ourselves.
Come join us for Art in the Yard Potluck on April 11th from 10-3! We will be constructing and painting Victory Garden yard signs both for our own use and for sale at the Farmers Market this Year. You DO NOT have to be an artist or good at carpentry. There is a place for everyone. Please bring any leftover paint you have laying around at home at well as any scrap lumber, old cabinets, fence posts, broken doors, iron rods and everything else that you think might turn into a sign. Bring a dish or beverage to pass, if you can. If you cant bring anything, just bring yourself!
