Hi Gretchen,
I will help. (That's my disorder speaking, of course.) My list of films is here:

There are others we can probably borrow from various sources. What do you have in mind in terms of the number of films, venue(s), etc?

Too bad we can't take over Schwartz and make that the Transition Shorewood HQ, eh? :)

Yeah - Some help has arrived! I was thinking of taking two routes. Either having an outdoor movies series this summer season. Or asking several people who have some of our ideas, but aren't necessarily trans people to have movie viewings in their houses with their friends and family, with 20 people depending on how many they can seat in their home. What do you think?

Yes, I wish we could have the Schwartz....but I do have a bit of a plan. Swee and Lisa Sim may want to open a store here in Shorewood. If they do so, I might help them manage it and we can use it for movie viewings, local meal gatherings, preservation kitchen, rooftop garden, selling local wares, etc. etc. So many ideas, so little time!

BTW - how is the house hunting?

Wow, Gretchen. You amaze me with your ideas and energy. I'm so glad to be working with you!

I rather like the idea of home movie screenings in Shorewood. Working through social networks might get around the tendency for only "the converted" to show up. Outdoor screenings would be fun though, too.

The idea of FG expanding into S'wood is very exciting. I love the idea of it being a community center. You should also talk with Christie & Jessica, who have some similar ideas. I'd love to see it happen as a co-op...

You're right - so many ideas, so little time!

Develop as a co-op, now that's a good idea. Do you have any knowledge of how a co-op runs?
